Regular Season Round 6: NH Ostrava - Pardubice 86-79

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Synthesia (6-5) lost on the road to third ranked Ostrava (6-6) 86-79 on Saturday. Guard Jakub Mrstak (179-2006) notched 32 points to lead the effort and Metodej Pazdera (-2008) supported him with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds by guard Hugo Lejsek (186) did not help to save the game for Pardubice. Guard Jan Kubanek (185) added 12 points. Synthesia's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory NH Ostrava went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Synthesia keeps the third place with five games lost. NH Ostrava will meet Basket Brno (#6) on the road in the next round. Pardubice will play against the league's leader GBA Lions and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
